The Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP) is a $680 million initiative ending in 2027 and its objective is to address the lack of charging and refuelling stations in Canada; one of the key barriers to ZEV adoption, by increasing the availability of localized charging and hydrogen refuelling opportunities where Canadians live, work, and play.

Funding for smaller EV charging projects with under 20 level 2 connectors or 2 fast-chargers can be found through organizations authorized to redistribute a component of the ZEVIP funding.

Larger EV charging or hydrogen refuelling projects above $20 million and carried out by the private sector will be redirected to the Canada Infrastructure Bank’s Charging and Hydrogen Refuelling Infrastructure Initiative for funding consideration.
