The Government of Yukon is launching a new incentive program offering financial assistance to commercial timber harvesters. This new timber harvesting incentive offers commercial businesses $10 per cubic metre to offset expenses and current fuel costs associated with harvesting firewood. This new incentive will support the local forest industry, increase firewood supply in the Yukon and encourage more start-up businesses in the industry.
