The Nova Scotia Government has been working in partnership with employers and industry to respond to workers' skill requirements since 1989. In 2010/11, approximately 160 Workplace Education programs were funded in 80 workplaces throughout Nova Scotia to assist 1900 workers.
- Workplace Education Programs are tailored specifically for each workplace to meet the needs of the employees in that workplace. Topics that could be included in your program are: Document Skills; Communication Skills; Computer Skills; Reading Skills; Math Skills; Essentials for Small Business, Academic Upgrading; Pilot Programs.
