Viewpoint Foundation Grants

Viewpoint Foundation and the Van Wielingen family have committed almost $ 15 million to more than 100 charitable organizations since its inception in 2001. Most of these gifts have been made to 20 key initiatives, however support has been given to a variety of causes in Canada and abroad . Today, an additional $ 20 million is available in the Foundation for future philanthropic initiatives.

• The vision of the Foundation is to demonstrate innovation and leadership in philanthropy in Canada by focusing on strategic priorities and unique approaches to monitoring accountability. We endeavour to actively engage with our community partners through a process of regular dialogue and establishing clear accountability to achieve desired outcomes. Our second key aim is to educate the public about ethical leadership by supporting organizations, initiatives and research in that field.
• We primarily focus on local, Calgary-based initiatives with an emphasis on supporting unique, innovative programs that are transformational for the organizations involved.
