Through the Trucking Manpower program, the Department intends to support industry initiatives to deal with the scarcity of labor in the road freight transportation sector, to contribute to the availability of workers and of skilled workers and to ensure a better understanding of the specific problems of the sector with regard to the shortage of labor.
In the road freight transport sector, the program aims more specifically to: expand the labor pool; contribute to the availability of a qualified workforce and ensure a better understanding of labor-related problems.
