Tourist Establishment Accessibility Program (PAET)

In order to promote the accessibility of Quebec’s tourism establishments to persons with disabilities, the Quebec government has invested $5 million to implement a financial aid program. This program, called the Programme d’accessibilité des établissements touristiques 2017-2022 (PAET), is managed and administered by Kéroul and enables targeted tourism businesses to access financial support to transform or improve their infrastructures in order to earn Kéroul’s “accessible” rating. The financial contribution can cover as much as 80% of eligible expenses (90% for an Inuit or indigenous organization, community or nation recognized by Quebec’s National Assembly, or for a project carried out in Îles-de-la-Madeleine), up to a maximum of $100,000 per project.
