The Fund finances projects that will contribute to improving the tourism offering. These projects must attract new customers and significantly extend the operating life of businesses. In addition, the Fund supports developers with strategic guidance throughout the process.

The Fund aims to:
- Maintain a financing tool complementary to existing levers
- Create favorable conditions for greater capitalization in tourism by private investors
- Promote the emergence of innovative and structuring projects likely to contribute to the renewal of the tourist offer
- Contribute to improving the competitiveness and innovation of tourism businesses with a view to strengthening Quebec's positioning
Which businesses are eligible?
The Fund is open to all existing or start-up businesses in the tourism sector whose primary activity is in Quebec. Eligible businesses are for-profit enterprises, social economy enterprises (NPOs, cooperatives), and business groups.
What projects are targeted by the Fund?
Supported projects must contribute to:
- Improve the destination experience (customer experience)
- Promote the development of an original, attractive tourist offer, complementary to the existing offer and respectful of sustainable development
- Energize the regions, make them more efficient and innovative, and make them shine
- Stimulate the regional economy by:
- Job creation
- The increase in the number of visitors
- Increased tourism revenue
The Fund can also finance any type of innovative project likely to contribute to the renewal and development of an attractive tourist offer. This includes projects that contribute to the promotion of the tourist offer through the use of new technologies (mobile applications, platforms and websites).
Which sectors of activity are eligible for financing from the Fund?
The Fund can intervene in all types of tourism: nature tourism, indigenous tourism, cultural and event tourism, hunting and fishing outfitters, agritourism and gourmet tourism as well as ecotourism.

What are eligible expenses?
Loans from the Fund can be used for the following types of expenses:
- Capital expenditure (land, building, equipment, machinery, rolling stock, furniture, incorporation costs) and any other expenditure of a similar nature
- The acquisition of technologies (know-how, license, manufacturing agreement, patent), software or software packages and any other expense of a similar nature
- Working capital requirements relating strictly to the company's operations for the first year of operation in the context of a start-up, expansion
Financing for an initial investment in a business or for the purchase or repurchase of shares in a business may be granted in exceptional situations.

How much are the Fund's loans?
The Fund provides financing to existing or start-up SMEs in the form of loans ranging from $50,000 to $500,000. The Fund's offering can sometimes be supplemented through agreements with various financial partners.
What are the conditions and duration of reimbursement?
Entrepreneurs must repay the loan granted by the Fund through regular installments. They must also commit to a regular monitoring process. The maximum financing term is 7 years.
Can the Fund's financing be adapted to my needs?
The Tourism Fund can offer you arrangements adapted to the needs of your business.
The duration, repayment frequency, and terms of use may be modified to take your situation into account. For example, the Fund may grant a seasonal moratorium on capital repayment.
