The TCIG Charitable Foundation believes that to ensure the long-term success of Aboriginal people, we must first strengthen our communities and cultures.
- Economic Development: To encourage a sustained increase in the economic standard of living for Aboriginal people and communities, the Foundation will support: Initiatives that provide career planning, skills building, and/or education and training in the areas of financial management, economic planning, business development and marketing for Aboriginal people. Employment initiatives for Aboriginal people. Business development for Aboriginal people. Wellness: To strengthen the wellness and health of Aboriginal people and communities, the Foundation will support: Recreation programs and services that have a skills building or social development component. Initiatives that draw upon cultural values, teachings and knowledge to support wellness for individuals, families and communities. Initiatives that encourage and support physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health and wellness. Arts: To preserve and promote Aboriginal people's participation in the performing, media and visual arts, the Foundation will support: The development and/or production of performing, media and visual arts projects by Aboriginal artists. Activities that create or enhance opportunities for Aboriginal people to participate in the arts.
