Capital Financière agricole backs investment projects from $500,000 up to $10 million. Special attention is given to projects involving the production of food products and to initiatives targeting distribution networks for local specialty products and locally processed products.
- The investment per enterprise ranges from $200,000 to $2,000,000, but the initial round of financing does not exceed $1,000,000.
- Financial participation is in the form of capital stock or debentures (unsecured loan, convertible to capital stock or not), and the desired return is 10 to 15% annually.
- Being a development fund, Capital Financière agricole does not buy back, allowing for exceptions, the interest of existing partners, nor does it take part in business recovery.
