Support program for rail transport infrastructure and modal integration (PSITFIM). Component 2 - Modal integration

This program aims, among other things, to promote the maintenance and improvement of the condition of rail transport infrastructure, to strengthen rail transport safety and to increase rail transport activities, in particular by integrating a rail segment into the freight transport chains. Ultimately, the program aims to encourage economic development and job creation, particularly in the regions of Quebec, by allowing users to benefit from a more efficient and accessible rail network.

Set up interfaces between rail and road or maritime transport networks that will allow better complementarity between modes for the transport of goods; integrate a rail segment into freight transport chains; increase rail freight activities.
