The purpose of this program is to stimulate savings in natural gas use among commercial and institutional clients who embark on retrofits aimed at energy optimization in existing buildings or who construct a new building. All Gazifère commercial and institutional clients are eligible. Gazifère analyzes the feasibility study carried out by a professional architect or engineer demonstrating the energy savings that result for each measure taken.
- The Implementation Assistance component supports the application of measures involving the use of natural gas in production processes and high-efficiency equipment not covered by existing programs. Under this component, Gazifère provides $0.25 in financial assistance per cubic metre of natural gas saved up to 40% of the cost of the measure or $10,000.
