The Government of the Northwest Territories is committed to building a diversified, sustainable territorial economy by providing support for business and economic development throughout the NWT.
Funding provided under the Support for Entrepreneurs and Economic Development Policy (SEED) is one part of the Government of the Northwest Territories’ ongoing investment in a diverse, sustainable NWT economy.
This year, the COVID-19 pandemic has created a number of unforeseeable financial challenges for NWT businesses.
To promote and support the NWT private business sector through these difficult economic times, the Department of Industry, Tourism, and Investment has reallocated internal resources and supplemented its 2020-2021 program guidelines to prioritize funding proposals supporting local employment and community investment that will support and promote economic recovery.
