The Specialized Labour Tax Credit provides an incentive for workers with specialized expertise or skills not yet available in Prince Edward Island to accept employment here.- The Specialized Labour Tax Credit is intended to help kick-start new business growth by providing an incentive for workers with specialized expertise or skills to accept employment in Prince Edward Island - where that knowledge or skill is not yet available in the PEI labour market. The tax rebate applies to the personal income tax paid, to a maximum of 17%, on eligible income earned by the eligible individual. This tax credit is effective for one year from the start date of employment.
