This component aims to promote the development of the social economy by supporting consultation initiatives and the deployment of structuring activity programs. In particular, this will make it possible to meet the needs of the communities and tackle societal issues.
The approach by strategic sectors in the social economy aims to maximize the response to a social need identified by strengthening partnerships and complementarities leading to the creation of new social economy enterprises and expanding the offer of existing enterprises. Organizations from several different economic activity sectors can work together to find solutions adapted to these societal challenges.
This call for projects makes it possible to identify promising strategic sectors for the development of the social economy and to support consultation projects of strategic sectors in the social economy to address issues such as:
- the ageing of the population;
- the environment and the circular economy;
- the integration of people removed from the labor market;
- any other socioeconomic development issue.
The concertation projects of strategic sectors in the social economy are a prerequisite for the realization of projects of animation and deployment of strategic sectors in the social economy (part 2B). Note, however, that financial assistance granted to a consultation and analysis project does not mean that the resulting coordination and deployment project will be financially supported by the Ministry.
For all financially supported consultation and analysis projects, an analysis and an action plan for the targeted strategic sector must be produced and submitted to the Department. This plan should allow social economy actors to coordinate their actions in this strategic sector regardless of obtaining financial support from the Ministry to implement it.
