This program aims to financially support the implementation of projects to prevent the sexual exploitation of youth in a given sector or in certain areas: schools, parks, low-income housing, etc.
- The objectives more specifically pursued by this program are: to better understand the way in which sexual exploitation is manifested and articulated in a given environment; document the characteristics of victims of sexual exploitation, vulnerable or at-risk persons, or the perpetrators, their needs and community resources; to increase the intervention capacity of the communities in the fight against sexual exploitation, in particular by improving or improving the prevention, support and protection services offered to young people and victims of exploitation; get in touch with the most vulnerable clienteles, who often have other problems (homelessness, substance abuse, mental health, etc.), meet their needs and reduce the risk factors for sexual exploitation; encourage partnership and the development of concerted actions in the prevention and intervention of adolescents at risk of sexual exploitation; establish, where applicable, sexual abuse prevention practices that reflect the reality of Aboriginal and northern communities.
