Description
The Sectoral Initiatives Program (SIP) is a grants-and-contributions program with the objective of addressing current and future skills shortages by supporting the development and distribution of sector-specific labour market intelligence, national occupational standards, and skills certification and accreditation systems.

  • SIP funds partnership-based projects that are national in scope or nationally significant and that support the development of industry-validated labour market information (LMI), national occupational standards (NOS)/competency frameworks and certification or accreditation regimes, to address skills shortages in strategic sectors of Canada’s economy.
