Through the Oceans Protection Plan, the Government of Canada is investing $94.3 million in this initiative over the next 5 years. The Nunavut and Northwest Territories governments are working with local communities, Inuit and Indigenous peoples, and stakeholders to assess needs. Other applicants will have the opportunity to submit a proposal under later calls.
- Improve northern communities re-supply operations; increase the safety and efficiency of sealift operations in Arctic communities by building infrastructure; provide training on how to use and maintain this infrastructure.
