The production of a show can be eligible for the refundable tax credit to the extent that SODEC has issued a certificate for it.
- To allow producers of comedy shows to support even more vigorously the career of Quebec comedians by allowing them, among other things, to increase the scope of their shows and the number of performances, to increase the circulation of shows, especially in region, encourage emerging artists and develop the international market;
- To allow private theater producers to maintain their production activities and to ensure better distribution of the shows;
- Allow the production of shows to more ambitious budgets; support the creation of diversified and more justly paid jobs.
