The Minister of Health and Social Services, Christian Dubé, and the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, Andrée Laforest, are proud to announce the investment of $ 52 million over five years , for the implementation of an assistance program for the modernization of the facilities of certain private seniors' residences (RPA).
The management and implementation of the program have been entrusted to the Société d'habitation du Québec (SHQ) by the Ministry of Health and Social Services.
The RPA interested in the program can contact the SHQ from 1 st January 2022, by calling 1 800 463-4315, option 1 or by email atProgramRPA@shq.gouv.qc.ca. Information will also be available on the SHQ's website.
The main objective is to financially help RPAs, especially the smaller ones, to do the work necessary to provide safer and more comfortable environments for their residents. Such support will make it possible to maintain the service offer for seniors, as well as the insurability of RPPs.
