Québec. Famille | Project on equality between women and men

In order to promote the achievement of equality between women and men throughout Quebec, the Minister for Education and Minister responsible for the Status of Women, Ms. Isabelle Charest , today launched a new call for projects to support the development of local, regional or national equality initiatives. Eligible organizations have until June 10, 2022 to submit a structuring project for their community.

Allocation of financial assistance

The duration of the projects must be two to three years. The maximum amount of financial assistance granted is $ 300,000 . Maximum government funding covers 90% of total eligible project expenses.

Goals

The call for projects aims to implement projects at the local, regional or national level that have concrete and measurable effects on the achievement of de facto equality in Quebec.

Projects submitted must target one or more of the following priorities :

• promotion of egalitarian relationships and the fight against sexual and sexist stereotypes;
• equality in employment and economic equality between women and men;
• equitable sharing of family responsibilities and better balance between family, professional, student, social and political life;
• recognition and valuing of unpaid or invisible work;
• women's health and well-being;
• improved consideration of equality in environmental protection and the fight against climate change;
• fight against violence against women;
• equal treatment of women from sexual minorities, including trans women, and the fight against lesbophobia;
• inclusive and diverse parity in decision-making, advisory and public places.
