General conditions for cultural and scientific prizes Individuals, groups or organizations can nominate a candidate. To do this, they must compile a file and send it through the websites of the ministries concerned. Awards The prizes awarded to the winners consist of a non-taxable sum of $30,000 , a silver medal created by a professional Quebec artist, engraved with their name, a calligraphic parchment signed by the Premier and the Minister responsible as well as a gold-plated silver lapel pin.
