Quebec | Crime prevention program through sports, arts and culture

The Program for the Prevention of Delinquency through Sports, Arts and Culture (PPDSAC) aims to work with vulnerable young people in order to counter the emergence or aggravation of problems related to delinquency and street gangs. .

More specifically, the objective of the PPDSAC is to enable young people to acquire protective factors (eg self-esteem) by developing interests and passions. The PPDSAC grants financial assistance to organizations wishing to set up or improve the offer of services in terms of sports, artistic or cultural activities for young people in their locality. These activities are offered as an alternative to delinquency and joining street gangs, while promoting the development of their skills.
