This call for projects aims to support and improve access to reliable, quality information for young people, as well as to develop their critical thinking with regard to the content to which they are exposed.

Objective 

The overall objective of the Informed Youth Program is to increase the consumption of quality information content among young people.

It includes the following 2 sections:

  • section 1: Development of critical thinking;
  • section 2: Production of information content.

Eligible customers 

The Program is open to the following applicants:

  • non-profit organization;
  • cooperative;
  • social economy enterprise;
  • Indigenous organization or committee such as an Indigenous public authority; or Indigenous organization, society or community group;
  • college and university educational establishment;
  • autonomous public library and regional public library service center.

Community media and general or specialized news media are also eligible for component 2. Note that specific eligibility criteria apply to this clientele.
