Having become the official language of Quebec in 1974, the French language remains at the heart of Quebec's identity and the main pillar of its culture. Cultural events are privileged moments to value and celebrate life in French. They testify to the vitality of this instrument of social cohesion which is the common language of a society.
- The Program to promote French during cultural activities provides financial support for projects: that put a special emphasis on the use, valorization and celebration of French during existing or newly created cultural activities; specifically aimed at raising the awareness of the public - especially young people and groups whose mother tongue is not French - to the richness and vitality of the French language and the importance of mastering it well.
