The objective of the program is to facilitate the transition of surplus heritage places of worship to new uses in line with the needs of the communities, while promoting the conservation and enhancement of their heritage characteristics.
Section 1 – Incubator for requalification projects
The objective of this component is to support organizations wishing to carry out requalification projects and which are in the very early stages of the planning phase. In addition to offering ad hoc financial assistance for carrying out technical studies, business plans, and other tools necessary for project planning, it offers opportunities for networking, support and training. to participating organizations.
More specifically, it pursues the following objectives:
- Promote the emergence and constitution of quality requalification projects;
- Offer ad hoc financial assistance for carrying out technical studies, business plans, and other tools necessary for project planning;
- Provide networking and resource sharing opportunities for participating organizations;
- Offer expertise and personalized support to participating promoters;
- Contribute to the development of a project that meets the needs of the community;
- Promote good project planning in order to reduce the associated risks;
- Promote the preservation of the heritage characteristics of the building concerned.
