Playgrounds are a key factor in a child’s development and learning. They encourage outdoor physical activity, help students learn how to share, overcome challenges and help them focus and learn more effectively in the classroom. This program was developed to assist with the purchase of playground equipment.
This year, the PEP will provide $5 million toward 25 new school playgrounds across 25 school districts.
