Tourism is a key sector of Québec’s economy and a phenomenal driver of regional development. PADAT, the support program for the development of tourist attractions, offers you attractive, flexible solutions. Whether you run a for-profit corporation, a cooperative or a non-profit organization, our program is for you. To be eligible, your project must address the priorities set out in the Québec government’s 2012–2020 development plan for the tourism industry.
- To boost the regions’ potential to attract tourists by increasing the density and diversity of tourism offerings, particularly in the culture, event, winter, nature, adventure, business and conference tourism sectors
- To strengthen Montréal and Québec City as gateways along with current tourism offerings, and developing the gateway in the Outaouais region
- To spotlight the St. Lawrence and positioning it as a world-class icon; to promote the development of northern tourism.
