The Career Advance initiative will connect Black youth and young professionals with training and work placement opportunities in high opportunity industries
The economic empowerment stream of the Black Youth Action Plan supports Black youth and young adults to build their careers and achieve economic success. There are three funding initiatives:
- Career Launch
- Career Advance
- Sector Innovation Networks
Initiatives funded by this stream will help support Black Ontarians to overcome barriers and equitably participate in a future-oriented economy, by connecting them with resources such as:
- essential and technical skills development
- high-quality job opportunities
- entrepreneurship supports
- sector-led innovations
The Black Youth Action Plan works toward eliminating systemic, race-based disparities by increasing social and economic opportunities for Black children, youth and families across the province. By building a more inclusive workforce, the province continues to work for workers on the road to economic recovery.
