NovaScience program | Call for projects in scientific culture and innovation

The Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Energy is launching a call for projects under the NovaScience program. Its main objective is to support new projects to help the next generation discover, cultivate and develop their skills in science and research, including science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

Goals

This call for projects aims to:

• support businesses and organizations working to promote science and innovation in all regions;
• to provide tools for interpreting and evaluating evidence and demonstrating the scope of different perspectives and expertise in areas of knowledge in science and technology;
• to support events in all regions of Quebec in order to build bridges between society and the scientific community;
• to support targeted initiatives to develop, in science and research, a talented and motivated new generation and to make known the fields of the future;
• support visits to places where research and innovation take place;
• promote projects related to scientific information, research in French and the fight against disinformation;
• encourage municipal entities to integrate scientific culture into their service offer;
• to offer support for the realization of diversity and inclusion projects in science. These initiatives will encourage the next generation from different groups in society, particularly women and Aboriginal communities, to pursue careers related to STEM and better integrate them into science, research and innovation.
