Description
The Fund replaces the Nova Scotia Mineral Incentive Program (2012-2017) and is designed to assist prospectors, exploration companies, and researchers in the search for new discoveries, to advance projects closer to production, and to attract investment into the province.

  • A Prospecting and Exploration Grant is intended to help prospectors/explorers carry out grass-roots exploration activities to find economically viable mineral resources in Nova Scotia. These activities can include, but are not limited to: prospecting, geoscientific surveying, drilling, sampling and testing. These grants are intended to promote exploration for a mineral deposit in an area that hasn’t been searched previously or for further study of mineral occurrences/sub-marginal deposits.
