New promotion and dissemination assistance program

SODEC informs its customers that the new promotion and distribution assistance program is now available for consultation on its website. It will enter into force on April 1 ,  2022.

Stream  1A – Annual Business Assistance for Distributors is currently open for filing on the SOD@ccess  secure online portal (SOD@ccess program code 70-25-01-01). We invite you to consult the guide for submitting an application as well as the templates on the  program's web page .

The opening on SOD@ccès of this component for other clienteles and of the other components of the program as well as the posting of their templates will be done soon.

The deadlines for submission of component 1A – Annual business assistance for the 2022-2023 fiscal year will be as follows:

• Distributors: March 31, 2022, 11:59 p.m.
• Commercial broadcasters: May 20, 2022, 11:59 p.m.
• Broadcasting and programming organizations: July 8, 2022, 11:59 p.m.

For distributors who do not meet the eligibility criteria for component 1A – Annual business assistance , component 1B – Support for promotion and dissemination activities of the new program will accept applications from April 1 ,  2022. Projects may be submitted at any time no later than 11:59 p.m. on the day of the film's release date.

All films released by March 31, 2022 will be covered by the 2021-2022 program. Applications for section 1.2 – Marketing assistance per project must be submitted as usual no later than 11:59 p.m. on the day of the release.

• This program includes four components: Component 1 - Support for commercialization (annual commercialization, commercialization support for projects, support for virtual copies and digital copies expenses). Component 2 - Assistance to cinema operators exhibitors (Support to parallel rooms, Operating assistance of commercial theaters). Component 3 - Support for special projects. Component 4 - Support for film festivals.
