Neighbourhood Small Grants

The Clayoquot Biosphere Trust has multiple granting streams designed to fund a broad range of projects within the Clayoquot Sound Biosphere Region. Neighborhood Small Grants provide up to $500 for a community project or event that brings people together! Building on the success of the Vancouver Foundation's program, Neighborhood Small Grants are based on a simple but powerful idea: when people feel a sense of connection and belonging to their neighborhood, they are more likely to be engaged in activities that make it a better place to live. When people are active in the life of their neighborhood, our communities are strengthened from the ground up.

• Connect and engage neighborhood residents; build local community capacity to carry out NSG projects; share residents skills and knowledge within the community; build sense of ownership and pride; respect and celebrate diversity; create lasting impact.
