The Museums Assistance Program (MAP) - Collections Management component provides funding for projects to improve knowledge, skills and practices related to key museum functions.

• The Museums Assistance Program supports heritage institutions and workers in the preservation and presentation of heritage collections in Canada.
• The aim of the Collections Management component of the Museums Assistance Program is to improve professional knowledge, skills and practices and to strengthen professional standards related to key museum functions for collections management in Canada. It also supports Canadian service organizations in the development and delivery of resources or services that will benefit multiple museums.
