The financial assistance of the Rehabilitation and construction of municipal infrastructures (RÉCIM) program is intended to allow municipalities to carry out construction projects, upgrading, rehabilitation or conversion, expansion or repair of municipal infrastructure. in order to ensure the sustainability of services to citizens.

More specifically, RÉCIM offers financial support to municipalities whose financial capacity is more limited in carrying out work aimed at responding to major problems associated with the state of their basic infrastructure, whether municipal or community-based. . The program also provides financial support for the implementation of projects promoting the pooling of services and the sharing of infrastructure between municipalities.

The RÉCIM is made up of two components:

  • Component 1 - Municipal or community infrastructure projects
  • Component 2 - Municipal or community-based infrastructure projects as part of a pooling of services or a municipal grouping.

The objectives of the program are to:

 allow the realization of infrastructure projects to solve problems important;  maintain the functional and safe condition of the infrastructure;

 support the implementation of projects advocating the pooling of services between municipalities;

 support municipalities with limited financial capacity;

 contribute to the local and regional economy.
