This new program aims to allow municipalities to improve or upgrade their municipal buildings such as fire stations, town halls, garages and community centres. Municipalities will be able to submit a request under the PRACIM as of May 2.
Pursuing the objectives of the Réfection et construction d'infrastructures municipales (RÉCIM) program, the PRACIM is more generous and accessible. In fact, the maximum subsidy granted per project has been increased and 350 additional municipalities will now be eligible. In addition, this program provides for increased financial assistance for smaller municipalities as well as for those that come together to carry out common projects aimed at providing services to their population.
