In the April 9th 2015 Budget, the Government of Nova Scotia announced continued support for the Nova Scotia Mineral Incentive Program (NSMIP). This is the fourth year of annual funding to the mining and mineral exploration industry in Nova Scotia. Prospector Grants are intended to fund activities by prospectors on grass-roots projects. 

  • The goal of the program is to increase and promote mineral exploration, leading to mineral discoveries and new, producing mines in Nova Scotia.
  • Is intended to help prospectors carry out grass-roots exploration activities in order to find economically viable mineral resources in Nova Scotia.
