The LaunchYU Accelerator program is a 10-week program, run through our partnerships with YEDInstitute and ventureLAB. The program is designed to support entrepreneurs as they build, launch, and scale their ventures. A maximum of 20 ventures will be selected through an application process for the program. There will be two streams of the accelerator program and a maximum of 10 companies will participate in each stream.

• VentureLAB Stream: VentureLAB, the regional innovation centre in the York Region, will deliver and adapted version of its BUILD program. The BUILD program is designed to accelerate technology ventures in advanced health technology, digital media and ICT, green energy, clean tech, and advanced materials & manufacturing sectors.
• YEDI Stream: The York Entrepreneurship Development Institute (YEDI) will deliver and adapted version of its YEDI Incubator program. The YEDI incubator program is sector agnostic and is designed to accelerate both for-profit and not-for-profit ventures from any industry.
• Both streams will offer entrepreneurs an intensive 10 week program to accelerate their ventures, combining lectures, workshops, one-on-one mentorship, and milestone deliverables. At the end of the 10-week program, there will be a pitch competition where the ventures will pitch to an audience consisting of investors, corporate executives, successful entrepreneurs and government officials. The winners of the pitch competition will be awarded cash prizes.
