Purpose of the program
As part of the 2022-2026 Interdepartmental Mental Health Action Plan, Unite for collective well-being (PDF 1.88 MB) , the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications is the bearer of action 4.5: "Create a regional support fund for cultural projects intended to have a positive effect on the mental health of young people aged 12 to 18”. This action is a tool for regional mobilization in support of the promotion of mental health and the prevention of mental disorders among young people in Quebec.
Resulting from this action, this Call for projects aims to contribute to the good mental health of young people by financially supporting cultural and community organizations for the realization of projects in several regions of Quebec. More specifically, it aims to increase the number of regional cultural initiatives aimed at promoting the mental health of young people and to increase the number of people aged 12 to 18 who participate in cultural activities that have a positive impact on their mental health.

Goals
The program has 4 objectives:
- increase the number of regional cultural initiatives designed to have a positive impact on the mental health of young people aged 12 to 18;
- increase the number of people aged 12 to 18 participating in cultural activities that have a positive effect on their mental health;
- support cultural and community organizations wishing to implement cultural projects aimed at improving mental health or maintaining good mental health among young people;
- promote regional mobilization in culture and youth mental health by supporting concerted projects.
