JP Bickell Foundation

The Foundation was created for the following purposes: 1) to provide a perpetual subsidy for the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, to the extent of 50% of the annual net income of the Foundation; 2) to support research by recognized leaders in the various fields of medical science (10% of the income); 3) to establish scholarships and bursaries tenable at Ontario universities offering courses in mining and in the related subjects of metallurgy, chemical engineering, geology and geophysics so far as they pertain to mining (5% of the income); 4) to support such charitable and/or educational organizations as the Trustees shall from time to time determine (35% of the income).
