Home Energy Loan Program
Through the Home Energy Loan Program (HELP), Toronto homeowners can get a low-interest loan of up to $125,000 to cover the cost of home energy improvements.
Important Information for new applicants. In 2022, the City will be launching an enhanced Home Energy Loan Program with additional offerings and an interest rate as low as zero percent*. The 0% financing will only be applicable to new projects – i.e. projects that have not yet begun as of the enhanced program launch date. The anticipated launch date is in the second quarter of 2022.

Important Information for new applicants. In 2022, the City will be launching an enhanced Home Energy Loan Program with additional offerings and an interest rate as low as zero percent*. The 0% financing will only be applicable to new projects – i.e. projects that have not yet begun as of the enhanced program launch date. The anticipated launch date is in the second quarter of 2022.
- With rates as low as 2 per cent, and terms of up to 15 years, HELP makes it easy for homeowners to avoid the high upfront cost of renovations and access up to $ 2,250 in incentives from utility companies. Once funding is approved, homeowners can hire the contractor of their choice and complete their renovations.
