Green Jobs - Science and Technology Internship Program

The Science and Technology Internship Program provides opportunities for post-secondary graduates to gain relevant work experience in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields in the natural resources sectors: energy, forestry and mining. The Science and Technology Internship Program – Green Jobs covers the cost of a new hire’s salary by 80% to a maximum of $25,000/yr or $32,000/yr for youth furthest from employment. Furthest from employment is defined as:

• To provide opportunities for post-secondary graduates to gain relevant work experience in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields in the natural resources sectors: energy, forestry and mining.
• To encourage businesses to hire interns.
• The rest of Canada gains from the results of the developments coming from an experienced and functional natural sciences sector.
