In June 2006, the Quebec National Assembly passed the Act to establish the Fund for the Development of Sport and Physical Activity in order to facilitate the practice of physical activities and thus contribute to the development of a sports culture within Québec.
- To support construction, renovation, development and upgrading of sports and recreational facilities as well as for the organization of international sporting events.
