Financial Support Program for Aspiring Farmers

This program gives to La Financière agricole du Québec to help start agricultural businesses, facilitate the establishment of young farmers and encourage them to acquire adequate training by providing financial assistance to agricultural enterprises.

• Through our Farm Succession Support Program, we help young farmers settle on an existing farm or start a new business.
• Both grants in this program can be used for: Improvements of a permanent nature (such as property improvement, building improvement, not including the farmhouse, improvement designed to protect resources (air, water and soil), purchase of equipment); Purchase of additional farmland; Purchase of animals for breeding with the aim of increasing the number of units or improving genetic quality; Expenses related to professional training in the agricultural sector or designed to improve the way the operation is managed; Repayment of interest on loans from La Financière agricole.
