Financial assistance program aimed at optimizing the Québec ecocentres network

The program aims to allow all citizens to have access to an ecocentre (local, regional or temporary or mobile drop-off point) located at a reasonable distance from their residence, to encourage service for industries, businesses and institutions (ICI) and to improve the recovery rate of recovered materials.

Deadlines

Subject to budget availability, there will be several deadlines for submitting projects. For the 1 st  year of the program, projects must be filed on or before the following dates:

• 1 re filing date: June 21, 2021 to 15 hours - Period ended deposit
• 2 E filing date: 1 st November 2021 to 15 h - Period ended deposit
• 3 E filing date: 3 May 2022 to 15 h

Construction of a local or regional ecocentre on a territory not served by an existing ecocentre. This new ecocentre will have to accept, sort at the source and promote the routing to reuse, recycling or recovery of the various wood residues; implementation of measures in an existing ecocentre or network of ecocentres aimed at improving accessibility or the implementation of good management practices for materials, including various wood residues. This includes in particular the construction of a new ecocentre in an area already served.
