Export aid and cultural outreach - cinema / television production - Program to Support the export and cultural influence of Quebec cinematographic , television and interactive works

In a spirit of partnership with the private sector, the financial participation of the Société de development of cultural enterprises (SODEC) is based on the sharing of certain risks financial institutions associated with the penetration of foreign markets. SODEC primarily supports prospecting, promotion, distribution and participation in events international

Component 1 - 

Provides support to Quebec businesses that carry out activities foreign trade spanning a period of two to three years, for the development of new markets or new works, in accordance with the guidelines and the objectives identified in their business plan. The aid enables a set of export activities to be carried out in addition to regular commercial and international activities of companies.

Component 2 - 

Support Quebec companies that want to seize business opportunities in abroad for Quebec works. This component aims to provide support to companies in order to stimulate international sales of Québec cinematographic, television and interactive works by supporting projects specific exports and with commercial potential. These projects allow companies to seize targeted and ad hoc business opportunities outside of their regular activities at abroad.

Component 3 - 

• Ensure the presence of Quebec cultural companies in major markets and international fairs.

• Support activities that ensure the visibility of cultural production outside Quebec and enterprises.

Component 4 - 

• Contribute to the strengthening of reciprocity in exchanges and to the promotion of Quebec cultural industries on the international scene.

• Support initiatives that are part of the policies of intensifying relationships with abroad.

General objectives

• Contribute to the expansion of the markets of cultural enterprises outside Quebec, to increase their competitiveness and to strengthen their financial bases.
• Increase Québec's cultural influence abroad.
• Encourage exchanges that promote recognition of Quebec expertise in the development of cultural industry
