Province of Manitoba, through the Sport Secretariat, supports the hosting of major amateur national and regional championships and sport events in Manitoba.
Funding is to be applied to support areas of the event identified in the operating budget; this may include, facility rental costs, equipment, coaching, officials and athlete development costs. Ineligible costs not supported by the grant funding include, prize monies, the costs of trophies or medals, and hospitality costs for activities such as banquet dinners or receptions.
