The Equinox program supports Indigenous artists, curators and groups to engage in artistic creation and professional development. Eligible projects can range from (1) research and development for the creation of new works, (2) creation and presentation of artistic work and (3) activities that support and strengthen the Indigenous arts community.
- To provide applicants with the opportunity to research and develop their practice by attending workshops, mentorships and residencies. Funds can cover the costs of participation fees and/or travel.
- To provide applicants with funding for the creation of new work, and places value on projects with culturally specific dialogues.
- To provides funds that bring artists together conferences, workshops, gatherings, exchanges and other activities that foster artistic relationships, connections and partnerships that strengthen the Indigenous arts community.
