The Echo Foundation has two main areas of interest: The Foundation's mental health grants are directed at organizations located in either Montreal or Toronto that provide frontline services to improve the quality of life of persons suffering from mental health problems. These include drop-in centres, residential facilities, reinsertion programs, family support services, community awareness campaigns designed at alleviating the stigma attached to mental illness and pilot projects with the potential of promoting better care and services to vulnerable persons with serious and persistent mental health problems. ENVIRONMENT The Foundation's environment grants focus on Eastern Canada (Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces), with a priority given to the protection of natural areas of ecological importance, as well as to the greening of the urban landscape. The Foundation also provides support, on a case-by-case basis, for a variety of other concrete endeavours designed to promote and enhance sustainable environmental practices.

Mental health

The environment

The Foundation's environmental grants focus on Eastern Canada (Ontario, Quebec, and the Atlantic provinces) and prioritize the protection of significant natural sites. The Foundation also supports, based on merit, a range of concrete environmental initiatives designed to promote and improve sustainable environmental practices.

To make a request

All grant applications must meet the following requirements, otherwise they will not be considered. For all applications, please send a letter of intent to Fondation Écho providing the history of the charitable organization, its charitable registration number/BN issued by Revenue Canada, its complete mailing address, a copy of the three most recent annual reports and financial statements, a brief description of the project, the detailed budget of the project, the amount of the grant requested, the list of confirmed and planned financial contributors and the respective amount of their contribution, the name and direct telephone number of the person responsible for the project, and a list of similar projects. In addition, please note that grants awarded must not be used for political activities, and that all written correspondence with the Foundation (letters, emails, etc.) must indicate the sender's complete contact information (name, position, complete mailing address, direct telephone number), otherwise we will not be able to follow up on the correspondence.
