(COVID-19) Festival and Events Stability Program

The new Festival and Events Stability Program (FESP) will provide financial assistance to festival and event organizers to help offset costs associated with the need to comply with COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

The objectives of the program are to: 

• provide financial assistance (non-repayable grant) to a festival or event that are incurring additional expenses as a result of the need to adhere to Covid-19 health and safety protocols to allow them to operate in 2021; 
• build confidence and assist festival and event organizers to open for the season; 
• build confidence in residents and visitors that festival and events are operating while adhering to health and safety standards; 
• provide financial assistance to organizations looking to develop a new festival or event; and allow festivals and events to operate and drive demand for tourism and stimulate the economy.
