British Columbia municipalities and regional districts can now access $ 13.7 million in funding through the Community Child Care Space Creation Program to create new licensed child care spaces in their communities.
- The fund, administered by the Union of British Columbia Municipalities (UBCM), provides local governments with up to $ 1 million per project to create new licensed child care spaces on local government-owned property for infants, toddlers and preschool age children. The program will create approximately 1,370 licensed child care spaces.
